Joyce Uptown Food Shelf

 

Linden Hills UCC is a very active supporter of Joyce Uptown Food Shelf located at 31st & Fremont in Minneapolis. Special emphasis for LHUCC is during the summer when children are out of school, around the Holidays, and in March during Minnesota Food Share month. Several members of the Church serve on its Board of Directors and others work as Volunteers packing food and distributing it to those in need. People can make use of the Food Shelf once a month where a three day food supply is given to the Clients. The Shelf is always in need of healthy food which can be dropped off at the Church. Donated food allows for variety in filling the boxes and bags for families. Cash donations are also important for it provides for bulk food buying.
